George Orwell is watching you
My media consumption seems to have been tinted by 1984-esque references this holiday period. Firstly, I caught my favourite part of a great little movie, Equilibrium. The scene I'm referring to sees a questioning John Preston uncover what can only be described as a treasure trove of knick-knacks, bright in colour and a shockingly joyous contrast to the sterile scenery throughout the rest of the film.
I've also been listening to 2+2=5 by Radiohead on loop. Thought provoking lyrics as well as utterly delicious music.
